Autumn Nails 2026: Trending Colors and Manicure Ideas

8 min to read

This autumn promises to be warm, mineral and thoroughly creative. Summer's bright colors give way to deeper tones, pearly polishes and milky finishes. Between earthy red, creamy matcha green and sophisticated purple, these shades play with nature and texture. Here's our look at the trends spotted on the runways, the shades to adopt, nail art ideas to try and our tips for a chic yet long lasting autumn manicure. Autumn is here!

Three key inspirations dominate this season's polish colors.

Coloured stones

This year, autumn colors seem to come straight from the earth itself. Precious stones, shimmering sand, pearly quartz, weathered rock… Natural tones gain depth while keeping plenty of softness. The Grand Canyon collection and some of our iconic shades, such as Terracotta or Khaki, prove that nature inspires this season's manicure trends more than ever.

Purple Rain

Purple remains one of the top trending colors and is making a strong comeback in the Autumn Winter 2026/2027 collections. It comes in intense plum, lavender gray or violet tinged burgundy, adding a dose of sophistication and character to your autumn wardrobe.

Passion Matcha

The matcha phenomenon hasn't left fashion, and now it's making its way onto your nails. This autumn, green softens even further thanks to milky versions that offer a fresh alternative to the season's traditional beiges. That's why we're celebrating Manucurist's 10th anniversary with Milky Matcha , available in limited edition from September 3, 2026 in Green™ nail polish and Green Flash™ gel polish. The sensation of the new season!

Grand Canyon: the lights of the desert

The landscapes of the Grand Canyon inspire one of this autumn's standout palettes. Between sun warmed earth, rock sculpted by the elements and golden light, these three new nail colors celebrate the infinite richness of desert landscapes.

Milky Peach: the sunlit nude

Halfway between beige, peach and milk, Milky Peach instantly brings light to your hands. This milky orange beige shade recalls sun drenched cliffs on a beautiful late afternoon. Spotted on the Alberta Ferretti runway, this color establishes itself as the new nude of autumn. It illuminates every skin tone, works with both casual looks and dressed up outfits, and replaces the traditional pink beige.

Let yourself be charmed by the warm, mineral shades of the Grand Canyon collection.

Grenat: autumn's signature red

It's impossible to imagine a selection of autumn colors without a deep red. With its brownish undertones and mahogany highlights, Grenat evokes the richness of precious stones and the warmth of autumn leaves. Spotted on the Hermès runway, this bold shade gives your claws plenty of character! Perfect if you're after an elegant red, less classic than a bright red, but every bit as timeless.

Sandstone: the new luminous brown

Among this season's colors, brown remains a firm favorite, but reinvents itself in a subtly pearly latte version, as seen on the fashion side at Alaïa. On your nails, it's Sandstone that revisits browns with chrome effects for a wonderfully luminous manicure. Its pearly veil recalls the mineral formations of the desert and the natural textures of sand. In terms of styling, we love pairing it with an ecru knit, a camel trench coat or chocolate toned accessories.

Purple & Friends: purple takes over

Purple tones have been in vogue for several seasons now. And they're gaining even more sophistication this autumn.

Mystic

More intense, Mystic reinvents purple with depth. With its opaque finish, it brings your manicure the ultimate chic of dark shades! Its balance between plum and eggplant recalls the silhouettes seen on the Balenciaga runway. Unforgettable!

Pomegranate

On the border between purple and burgundy, Pomegranate embodies this raspberry red with purple undertones that brings intensity to your hands and a couture fabric effect, while remaining easy to wear. An irresistible polish color that we also spotted at the Alaïa runway.

Halo

This soft mauve with a frosted effect dresses the nails in a delicately frosted, fresh and luminous mist. Spotted at Valentino, this shade divinely enhances a monochrome plum or brown look.

Sweet Milky: the milky trend continues

Milky nails remain a must have and this season are evolving towards more indulgent nail colors.

Milky Matcha: Manucurist's anniversary color

To celebrate Manucurist's 10th anniversary, Milky Matcha arrives in a limited edition! This milky matcha green blends fresh notes reminiscent of plants with creamy softness to create a delicate, modern and original color. Spotted on the Chloé catwalk, this shade brings an unexpected pop to our autumn wardrobe and flatters sun kissed, late summer skin. A great way to switch up the classic nudes and give your nails a soft, contemporary touch.

The Milky polish family is growing: Welcome Milky Matcha!

Milky White

Milky white remains a safe bet among milky polishes, as proven by the Jacquemus runway. In that spirit, milky, translucent white Milky White lights up your fingertips while keeping things understated. And for good reason: it easily pairs with all our season's outfits. One of our must haves, especially if you're addicted to French manicures.

Milky Pink

Baby pink is still just as trendy! We can see it at Dior with that fabulous flowing dress that started a trend. On the manicure side, Milky Pink enjoys the same success. This delicately veiled pink gives nails a natural, timeless look. An excellent option for anyone wanting a manicure that's discreet yet elegant, without being fully sheer.

Our nail art ideas for autumn 2026

Do these nail colors have you wanting to show them off on your fingertips? Here are two nail art ideas to recreate at home:

French tips Grand Canyon

Can't decide which Grand Canyon collection polish color to pick? Go for a French manicure in rainbow mode. Apply Pale Rose as a base, then create colored french tips with a fine brush using Milky Peach, Grenat, Sandstone, Khaki and Terracotta. An earth tones nail art that works just as well in the office as on the weekend.

?? Tip: if you're not quite confident with the brush technique for a French manicure, opt for the Mani Stamper, a magic tool that lets you create a neat, precise French tip in just a few seconds.

Purple Aura

To bridge the gap between autumn colors and winter polishes, this silk finish gradient in shades of purple is perfect. Start by applying Grenat as a base. On a nail art sponge, draw a square with Grenat and fill it in with a dot of Bois de Rose. Apply the sponge to your nails, dabbing gently until you get the desired effect, adding more color to the sponge if needed. Finally, clean up the edges of the nail with a corrector pen.

Our tips for a long lasting autumn manicure

The arrival of autumn is the ideal moment to adapt your manicure routine. After summer, our nails can be weakened by the sun, salt or chlorine. Here are a few simple steps to help prepare your nails for the new season.

Moisturize your nails after summer

Just like skin, nails appreciate a nourishing routine. Try a course of Complete Serum which helps deeply hydrate and restore damaged, dry and brittle nails, with no greasy or sticky finish. Don't forget to apply it to thirsty cuticles too. Follow up with the Nourishing Nail Pen, a nourishing, strengthening pen. Nails are rehydrated, cuticles nourished and softened. Its strongest point? It slips easily into your bag for on the go care!

Applied daily for a week, these two treatments are enough to restore nails to full health and ready them for your favorite color.

Carefully prep your nails

A beautiful manicure always starts with good nail preparation. Thanks to the Manucurist Prep Set, you have all the tools you need to file your nails, push back your cuticles, and mattify and degrease the nail plate. Add two new accessories to this kit:

  • Our new stainless steel nail clippers, ideal alongside your file for shortening nails and giving them the shape you want.
  • The cuticle nippers for precisely removing hangnails and achieving a clean, tidy contour.

Choose the right base coat

The base coat layer forms the foundation of your manicure and protects your nails. It's therefore an essential step before applying color. Preferably use a base coat from the same brand and range as your chosen polish. The Vitamin Base Coats Green™ and Green Flash™ are designed to work in synergy with classic Green™ nail polish and Green Flash™ gel polish. They benefit from KeraHCE+ technology, enriched with hexanal and vitamins C and E, which strengthens the nail beneath the color. Thanks to them, color application is easier and more even, and polish wear is optimized.

Seal the manicure with a top coat

Just like the base coat, the top coat is an essential step in your manicure routine to ensure long lasting wear and a glossy finish. Here too, we recommend using the top coat from the same range as your chosen polish.

If you're using classic Green™ nail polish, apply a coat of Top Coat Sunshine once your color is fully dry.

If you're using Green Flash™ gel polish, you have a choice of:

  • a coat of Top Coat Green Flash™ (lasts up to 12 days)
  • a coat of Top Coat Xtrem Flash™ (lasts up to 21 days)
